Bobsleigh – Achievements: Sensational she won in 1989 at their first World Cup participation in Winterberg (starting for the GDR) the world title in sledding. Overall, she became triple world champion single (1989, 1991 and 1997), four-time European champion (1990, 1992, 1996 and 1998) and two times Overall World Cup winner (1991, 1992). With the team she won four times the world title (1990, 1992, 1993 and 1995). In the Olympic Games she won in 1992 in Albertville the bronze medal and in 1994 in Lillehammer the silver medal.
